FAQ's

Q – Will you find me a job?
A – We are not a recruitment agency. We believe that your chances of getting the right job a greatly enhanced if you are clear about what you want to do and why.

Q – How long does your process take?
A – Typically it takes anything from 4 to 6 weeks – we are dealing with important decisions and experience shows that it is better not to rush them.

Q – How long will I spend with you?
A – It varies; typically our standard “orientation” programme takes 8-10 hours, divided into 2 sessions of 3 hours and either a final one of 2-3 hours or shorter individual sessions. We can quote hourly rates if your requirements call for it.

Q – Where does it take place?
A – Our consulting rooms in Broad Court at the heart of London’s Covent Garden area are the ideal place.

Q – Does it work for everyone?
A – Like most things in life you get out what you put in; we have a lot of experience and an outstanding track record (see what other people have said about us on our website) – our role is to help you to help yourself and to give you the equipment and knowledge to make the best decisions for yourself.

Q – I have had careers advice before – why should this be any different?
A – We don’t offer “advice”. We believe that you are the only one who can find the way ahead that is right for you. We aim to give you the knowledge, encouragement and belief to make the decisions that will be right for you. Our business has been built on recommendations which we believe speaks for itself.

Q – Will you write a CV for me?
A – We believe that you can’t have a decent CV until you know what you want to do and why. At the right moment we will show you how to construct a meaningful CV which will help you get the job you want.

Q – What is the Birkman Method®?
A – The best psychometric instrument we know of for the work we do with people. Hugely effective when used properly, clients receive a written report based on it as part of our orientation package.

Q – Can I get a Birkman® assessment from you without the rest of your orientation package?
A – Yes, we are happy to quote you a price for an individually and specially prepared, written Birkman® report which comes with three hours of explanation and instruction.

Q – I have done other psychometric tests - why is this one different?
A – Birkman is extremely sophisticated and reveals things about what you need to succeed that are unique to it. The key lies in the way it is used and interpreted for you. We have the skills, experience and training to do this.

Q – Am I too old / young for your service?
A – Except in exceptional circumstances we don’t recommend our services to anyone younger than their early twenties. Anthony has and does work with senior executives; however, the great majority of those using Careerfoundations™ are aged between 23 and 40.
