Core values
What makes our approach different?
We believe that everyone has strengths, talents and weaknesses.
Understanding and using them is a pretty good starting point on
the road to success.
Doing what you are best suited to in life and to the very best of your ability, is a useful working definition of success. Anyone doing that certainly won't be failing!
Helping you focus on strengths is a key part of our programme. However, it is just as important to know what you're not so good at. In fact, only when you appreciate that it makes no sense to try and do everything, can you start begin to focus on what you really like doing. That is the start of the road to success!
In many ways our interests are what define us. The extent to which we are aligned with what we actually like doing determines in large measure the quality of the lives we live, how satisfied and fulfilled we are likely to be and how we measure our own self-worth.
Knowing what drives us is an important part of knowing who we are. To deny , or neglect our strengths and interests is an invitation to frustration and failure. Finding and nurturing what American writer Martha Beck has called your “North Star” is a key element of fulfilment and success.
Careerfoundations™ is about self knowledge of course, but much more as well. We can - and do - help people make better decisions and thereby materially improve their success.
